Happy Easter!

We had a wonderful first Easter! We call it Lila's first Easter because last year Easter was just a few short days after she was born. This was her first Easter to get all dressed up for church and attend Easter Egg Hunts! What a day she had!
We knew we were going to have a busy day, so we began the morning bright and early. We went to the early service at our church (8:00 a.m.) It wasn't a big deal to get up that early since Lila is wide awake at the crack of dawn anyway. We headed off to church and enjoyed the service with my mom, dad, and grandmother. Then, we went to Andrew's parents' house to have lunch and the Weaver Annual Easter Egg Hunt. We were one short (no Robert) this year. It wasn't the same without him. Andrew's mom organized her world-famous (adult) egg hunt, and we all had a great time! After Lila's nap (yes, nap...I'm such a mean mom!) she got to hunt for her Easter eggs. We put her eggs on the family room floor, and she had such a fun time. She would crawl to an egg, sit down, and say "Yea!" and clap her hands. We'd all start cheering for her. Then, she'd move to another egg, sit down, and say "Yea!" and clap her hands. This continued until all eggs (10, I think) were found.
We continued making the rounds all over town and headed to my sister, Lori's, house. Dad's whole side of the family was there. Lila always enjoys playing with her cousins. We hunted for eggs there, too, but I think Lila was worn out because she wasn't all that interested. She found about three and was finished. She did have a great time on the see saw with Lindsey. Lindsey showed her around their huge backyard. Lila and Lindsey even snuck away for some quiet time together on the swing.
We had a great day. Lila was worn out...and so were we! What a wonderful "first" Easter!
