Halloween

Yes, I know we're two days away from Thanksgiving and I'm posting Halloween pictures, but things have been a little crazy around the Weaver house (more to come)...

Lila and Uncle Bobbut (Robert)

Lila spent her first "real" Halloween with a family dinner and trick-or-treating through a cold, wet neighborhood. My parents, Andrew's parents, and his brothers came over for a cookout. Andrew made his delicious hamburgers on the grill (okay, so I don't actually eat hamburgers, but everyone else raves about them!) and Mom and I made some sides. It was one of the first cool evenings (mid-70s), so we were able to open the french doors and enjoy the breeze.

Getting hydrated for my big night!

After dinner, we got Lila all dressed up in her adorable pumpkin outfit. From the fluffy tulle to the striped tights...she loved every bit of it! We held off after dinner to let the torrential downpour pass, then headed door to door with our little pumpkin. While she donned her adorable costume, we were clinging to our umbrellas! Princess Lila headed out with her entourage (8 altogether!!) in her motorcade.

She was pretty unsure of what she needed to do, so I walked with her up the driveway of the first house. We weren't three steps away from the front door when she ate it!!! She was sprauled out, on the ground. I didn't consider that the pumpkin's slippers might not have quite enough traction for the wet walkway...oops! The girl at the door felt so sorry for her that she loaded her up with candy. (So that's where my five extra pounds have come from!)

Loving Twizzlers, just like her mom!

All things considered, she had an amazing night. She lasted until about 8:00, then couldn't hang any longer. What a memory - having both sets of grandparents and her uncles trick-or-treating with her!

Barker all dressed up!

The manly men of the house - getting ready for the Big Game??

  1. Did you make that costume? That is the cutesy thing ever!

  2. Cutest Pumpkin to ever trick-or-treat! Matt told me that Lila took a spill that night. Who knew that would be the milder of the injuries. How is sweet Lila doing?

Tell her we love her and are praying for her, ok?
