Uncle Patrick invited us to Family Day at the dental school. We all loaded in the car at 7:30 a.m. to make the hour (or so) trip to Gainesville. It was just as you'd imagine an Open House to be...we toured his classrooms and got to see where he spends ALL of his time. One thing we didn't consider was Lila's reaction when we went into the Sim (simulation) lab which was basically where they worked on "dummy" patients. There were drills, little water guns, suction machines, etc. Well, those noises sent Lila into orbit! She is used to hearing those sounds since she visits her "Pa-poe" (aka Papa) at his dental office, and she doesn't like them one bit! Needless to say, we spent most of the Sim session in the hallway, far away from Uncle Patrick and his dummy!
Exhausted...
We had such a great time!!
