Memorial Weekend was a wonderful time for us! We traveled to Myrtle Beach, SC, to spend some time with our friends Matt, Ashley, and Maggie Gaymon. Lila and Maggie had never met, so we were excited to get them together for the first time.
Lila and Maggie are about 5 1/2 months apart, so it was tons of fun watching them interact. Lila's phrase of the weekend was "Hey, Behbeh! (Baby)" which she repeated to Maggie constantly. We stayed at an amazing resort (Thank you, Mr. and Mrs. Gaymon!!) that had a couple kiddie pools for the girls' enjoyment. We had the most amazing setup (2 bedrooms/2 baths), a full kitchen, washer/dryer (it was put to good use!), and a wonderful view of the ocean.
This trip was very exciting for us because this was the first time Lila was able to enjoy the beach. We've taken her to the beach before, but she's never been able to experience walking around and feeling the waves come in and out. Her swimming teacher would be proud...we constantly practiced floating in the pool. Lila did it without any tears! (And, yes, Lila did have a different bathing suit on in almost every picture! I'm a sucker for cute suits!)

Plans are already in the works for the 2nd "Bi-Annual Weaver/Gaymon Reunion"...stay tuned! (However, we will be planning for the Yezerski family to join the reunion crew as soon as Baby Yezerski is born in January!!)
Allison, thanks for the pictures. Lila looks like she had a lot of fun last weekend. Also, her floating skills are out of this world.

ReplyDeleteI love all of her swim suits!!! Jake is taking the ISR class in July...I'm glad it went well and Lila can now float! I can't wait until Jake takes it! Let's talk soon! Miss you.....
