Sea World

Andrew, Lila, and I headed to Sea World for a mini-vacation. We stayed in a GREAT hotel - SpringHill Suites - just a half mile away from the park. The room was amazing, the breakfast was great, and the pool was perfect for Lila. For those who are interested...it was very inexpensive, and we will definitely stay there again.

Lila was so excited to see Shamu!

The weather was pretty warm for October, but that didn't slow us down (well, maybe I was a little slower being 5 months pregnant!) It was Sea World's Spooktacular Halloween Party with trick-or-treating throughout the park. We arrived right when the gates opened at 9:00 a.m. (that's one of the perks of having an early-riser...we can always be one of the first to arrive at places like this). They opened the park with the singing of the national anthem (notice photo with hand over her heart!)  The park seemed deserted until about 11:00 a.m., so we made the most of the morning, going to a couple shows and visiting the empty children's rides - by "rides", I mean the carousel. Lila is still very timid when it comes to rides, so we rode the carousel on the BENCH!

Killer whales are some amazing creatures!

2 1/2 is a great age to take in Sea World.  Lila was totally entertained the whole time.

She even managed to sneak in a two hour nap while in the park!!

Enjoying a gourmet dinner at Steak N Shake after a long day!
